Breakdown: Jurassic World Dominion (2022)
Jurassic World's Dominion is perhaps the most disappointing film I've ever seen even though I've watched a lot of negative films as a reviewer. The third picture in the Jurassic World trilogy and the sixth film in the Jurassic Park series as a as a whole didn't match the hype about it. It was obvious that from the start the film was not going to impress.
Jurassic World: Dominion is a thrilling tale about dinosaurs taking over the planet. Instead of welcoming the notion and further expanding it, the film keeps the dinosaurs in a small park. This is just one of the numerous flaws that the movie has to offer.
One of the main issues with the film is its failure to meet the expectations that were set by Jurassic World, Dominion. It was advertised as the ultimate conclusion to the Jurassic World trilogy. It promised a satisfying finale to the series , as well as huge improvement. Many viewers were disappointed the film's failure to live up to the standards it set in its marketing.
Jurassic World, Dominion's storyline is confusing and dull to the point where it's almost ridiculous. It tries to introduce key characters from previous films without any consideration of whether or not it makes sense. The plot is not well-crafted and presented at an odd time. The story is in a critical point. It's easy to wonder what the film will be about at the end of the film's runtime.
Jurassic World - Dominion attempts synchronization of two unrelated plotlines to keep its audience engaged however it fails horribly. Despite the obvious presence of a Stegosaurus The film appears to ignore it for the duration and leaves viewers to wonder what the reason for it being included in the first place.
While Jurassic World: Dominion may be a step up from the widely derided Jurassic Park (blog post) III, that's not enough to warrant acclaim. It's perhaps one of the most enjoyable in Jurassic Park's series that is a stunning feat considering its history of weak stories. Jurassic World's Dominion is a pointless, awful wasted time. It's disappointing both for fans who have been around for a long time as well as new Jurassic Park fans and new viewers.
If you are a Jurassic Park fan, this film isn't for you. It is better to look up the original Jurassic Park movie again. It is widely considered to be the top.
